Research and Honors

Prof. Yonggang Liu, Ph.D., Doctoral supervisor, deputy director of power transmission and control research institute in SKLMT. Dr Liu is mainly engaged in the teaching and scientific research of vehicle engineering. He has been awarded the "Most Popular Teacher" and "Outstanding Worker of Chongqing University" (multiple times) of Chongqing University. He is the member of youth talents for science and technology association in Chongqing, senior member of SAE-China, senior member of IEEE, executive director of IEEE PES electric vehicle sub-committee, member of vehicle control and intelligence committee of Chinese Association of Automation, member of intelligent driving committee of China Association of Artificial Intelligence, academic member of Hubei Province New Energy Engineering Center, accreditation expert of academic degrees center of Ministry of Education.

As a project leader, he has secured over more than 20 projects including National Key Research and Development Program International Cooperation Project (co-PI), National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Fund and General Program, and National Science and Technology Support Program of Ministry of Science and Technology. He is the chief editor of one monograph in the field of clean energy vehicles. Dr. Liu has published over 80 research papers, among which more than 40 papers indexed by SCI have been published with the first or corresponding author. He has been granted 15 patents, including 1 transfer achievements. He also serves as the sub-conference chair, keynote reporter and invited reporter in international conferences for many times. He is the associate editor, editorial board member or guest editor of a number of journals. He has won one China Automobile Industry Science and Technology Progress Award and one provincial Natural Science Award.
