Chongqing Engineering Technical Center for Electromechanical Transmission and Intelligent Control was set up in 2008, focusing on innovative researches in mechanical design and theory, adaptive and predictive control, tribology and reliability design, numerical modeling and control, especially to the development of innovative mechanical and electrical transmission and intelligent control, robot drive mechanism technology with improved reliability /productivity/controllability.

It has been awarded over 50 China patents and over 5 important achievements on "BTG water lubricated dynamic seal non-metal bearing device", "Key scientific techniques and industrialization technologies of high efficient transmission system with new type engineering composite materials", "Digital manufacturing equipment for the precision forming of engineering composite materials", "high efficient precision transmission mechanism with Reverse rolling screw pair", and "high-performance filter drive mechanism".

The projects it leaded include “863” Program, National Science Foundation, National Defense Key Research Project, Military Products, Civilian Space Program and others National Projects. It won the second prize of National Technological Innovation Award in 2015, and five first prize of Province or Ministry Award.
